⚠️ NotebookLM is now called Gemini Notebook. The guided slide and video flow started rolling out on October 16, 2026 (up to 15 days to appear). Check every slide against your sources before you present it.

Steps

  1. Open a notebook (notebook.google) with your project docs, notes and reports added as sources
  2. In the Studio panel, choose Slide Deck and turn on the Review toggle (Review outline), or ask for a deck in chat
  3. Pick the focus topics, format and style it suggests, then read the outline notes and give feedback with the prompt below
  4. Select Proceed only when the outline is right, then check the finished slides against your sources

Prompt / template

Feedback on the outline:
Audience: [e.g. leadership / project sponsors / the wider team]. They have [10] minutes.
Open with a one-slide summary: status, the decision we need, and the date we need it by.
Cut anything that's background they already know. Keep it to [8] slides.
Put risks and open issues before next steps.
Every number and date must come from the sources. If one is missing, put [TBD] on the slide instead of filling it in.
