Build a personal catch-up agent over your email and meetings

⚠️ Licensing: what you can add depends on your license. Copilot Chat users without a Copilot license may have limited or no access to Agent Builder, depending on tenant settings; where it is available, agents use instructions and web content only. SharePoint content, uploaded files and Copilot connectors need a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or pay-as-you-go billing set up by your admin. Email, Teams chats and meetings, and People data need a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Email can't be scoped: adding My emails uses your whole mailbox. People you share the agent with don't get access to your email.
Steps
- In Microsoft 365 Copilot, select New agent and choose Skip to configure
- Under Knowledge, select the search bar and add My emails, then add up to five specific Teams chats and up to five meetings (or My Teams chats and meetings for everything)
- Paste the instructions below and add starter prompts like 'What happened while I was out?'
- In the Model section, leave Auto or pick Think deeper for longer catch-ups
- Test on the Try it tab, then select Create. Keep it private, since it reads your own mail
Prompt / template
Instructions: You help me catch up after time away. When I ask for a catch-up, cover only the period I name. - Start with anything that needs a reply or decision from me, with who asked and by when. - Then list decisions made in my meetings and chats that affect my work. - Then a short list of FYI items. For each item give the source (email subject, chat or meeting name and date). Don't invent deadlines. If something is unclear, say what's missing. Don't draft replies unless I ask.
