⚠️ Licensing: you need a Copilot Studio license (prepaid Copilot Credits or pay-as-you-go through Azure), a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, or a Copilot Studio trial. A trial lets you build and test in the test chat, but you can't publish. Agent usage is metered in Copilot Credits; for Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed users, generative answers and tenant grounding used in Copilot Chat, Teams or SharePoint are zero-rated. Steps follow Copilot Studio's standard experience: if your Home page shows a New experience toggle, Microsoft's quickstart turns it off. Your organization must allow Power Platform apps in Teams. Agents using SharePoint knowledge answer from it in 1:1 chats only, not in group chats or channels.

Steps

  1. Publish the agent at least once: select Publish at the top, then Publish again
  2. On the top menu bar select Channels, then the Teams and Microsoft Copilot tile
  3. Keep Make agent available in Microsoft Copilot selected if you want it in both places, then select Add channel
  4. Select Edit details to set the icon, color and descriptions people see in the Teams app store
  5. Select See agent in Teams > Add to install it for yourself and test it there first
  6. To share: Availability options > Copy link for named users, Show to my teammates and shared users for the Built with Power Platform section, or Show to everyone in my org > Submit for admin approval
