⚠️ Licensing: you need a Copilot Studio license (prepaid Copilot Credits or pay-as-you-go through Azure), a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, or a Copilot Studio trial. A trial lets you build and test in the test chat, but you can't publish. Agent usage is metered in Copilot Credits; for Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed users, generative answers and tenant grounding used in Copilot Chat, Teams or SharePoint are zero-rated. Steps follow Copilot Studio's standard experience: if your Home page shows a New experience toggle, Microsoft's quickstart turns it off. Publishing is not possible on a trial license.
Steps
- Create the agent from the Home page with the description below
- Select Add knowledge and add your public product pages as Public websites, plus uploaded spec sheets or pricing PDFs, each with a clear name and description
- Test with the questions customers and new sales reps ask most, and tighten the instructions where answers drift
- Change the icon: select the agent icon in the top bar > Change icon (PNG, under 72 KB, max 192 x 192)
- Select Publish, then the three dots (…) > Go to demo website, and share that URL with your team for feedback

Description (paste on the Home page): A product FAQ assistant for [product]. It answers questions about features, plans, integrations and setup using our product website and spec sheets, for our sales team and for prospects. Instructions: - Answer from the knowledge sources only, and link the page you used. - If a question is about pricing for a specific deal, discounts or contract terms, say that a sales rep will confirm and give [contact link]. - Don't compare us with named competitors unless the knowledge sources do. - Keep answers short and plain; use a bulleted list for steps.
