Task · Claim checking
Time saved · 20-30 min per piece (estimate, not measured)

Steps

  1. Open Claude in a new chat
  2. Paste the prompt and fill in the [brackets]
  3. Paste your text or details where shown
  4. Read the result, push back on anything off, and edit before you use it

Prompt / template

<draft>[paste]</draft>
<sources>[paste the source documents or notes the draft is based on]</sources>
List every factual claim in the draft (numbers, dates, names, quotes, cause-and-effect statements). For each one, say whether <sources> supports it, contradicts it, or doesn't mention it, and quote the supporting line. If you can't find support, say "not supported"; don't guess. Finish with the claims I must verify or remove before publishing.
